Biometric measurements, within the context of health and wellness, refer to information collected about an individual's physical attributes, such as height, weight, and blood type. Often called just biometrics, these measures are used for both identification and health assessment purposes.

Biometric measurements refer to biological facts collected about an individual via health screening. This physiological data may be collected during an individual's medical exam or from an individual health survey. Commonly recorded biometric measurements include blood and glucose levels, blood pressure readings, measurements of height and weight, Body Mass Index determination, and other physical assessments. Biometric measurements are often collected during an individual's wellness assessment as part of an employer's health promotion program.
